Flora Ville opened in 1998 as Chuan Chuen Golf Club before adopting its current name. The course was developed within a residential estate, but mature trees, open marsh areas, lakes and established wildlife give much of the routing a natural parkland character. Several holes are visually enclosed by trees, while others open toward water and exposed ground where wind becomes more noticeable. The clubhouse and principal visitor facilities were substantially rebuilt and reopened in 2018, creating a more modern arrival and post-round experience.
