Panya Indra Golf Club offers three different nine-hole experiences, but water and approach positioning remain important throughout the complex. Several fairways provide enough width from the tee, yet bunkers, lakes and the angle into multi-level greens make the preferred landing area narrower than it initially appears. Golfers must repeatedly decide whether to challenge a hazard for a shorter approach or accept a longer shot from safer ground. The experience changes with the assigned combination, while evening play under the floodlights adds a distinctly different atmosphere.
Panya Indra occupies more than 800 rai in eastern Bangkok, creating a large landscaped golf property within the city’s wider urban area. Lakes dominate the Lagoon course, rows of mature palm trees establish the tropical character of the Palm course, and dense planting gives the Garden course a greener and more enclosed feel. The three themes are visually distinct without making the complex feel disconnected. Water, flowering plants, mature vegetation and open views across the lakes provide the setting for all three possible 18-hole combinations.
Ronald Warren Fream designed Panya Indra around decisions rather than one repetitive style of hole. Diagonal water lines reward confident carries, while fairway bunkers and slopes influence which side provides the strongest view of the green. Several putting surfaces contain multiple levels, making the approach position as important as reaching the green itself. The most reliable strategy is to identify the safe landing area, avoid short-sided misses and use the available width to create an uphill or more direct route to the flag.
Check whether the round combines Lagoon, Palm or Garden because the pairing changes the total length, visual character and sequence of hazards.
Identify the minimum carry and available bailout before deciding whether the shorter route is worth challenging from the tee or fairway.
Prioritise distance control into tiered greens because reaching the wrong section can leave a more difficult first putt than missing safely nearby.
Confirm wind direction, water lines and green contours before committing, particularly during night golf when depth perception can feel different.
Course A – Lagoon: The 3,608-yard blue-tee Lagoon course places water at the centre of its identity. Several holes present a direct choice between laying up toward the wider section of the fairway or challenging water for a shorter and clearer approach. Longer par threes and defended greens make club selection especially important.
Course B – Palm: The 3,652-yard blue-tee Palm course is the longest of the three nines. Palm-lined corridors, lakes, sloping fairways and multi-tiered greens place greater emphasis on driving position and approach control, particularly when a downhill putt or water-fronted entrance is brought into play.
Course C – Garden: The 3,501-yard blue-tee Garden course is the shortest of the three, but it is not automatically the easiest. Large bunkers, trees, water, wind and complex green surfaces protect several shorter holes, rewarding accuracy and controlled distance rather than relying on overall length.
Panya Indra Golf Club provides a driving range overlooking the lake, together with a 670-square-metre practice green for putting, chipping and bunker work. Panya Kitchen serves Thai and international food with views across the course and lake, while locker rooms and rental golf clubs, shoes and umbrellas are also available. The club is normally closed on Mondays and operates day golf from Tuesday to Sunday, with night golf available from Tuesday to Saturday under the current schedule. At least one caddie is required per golfer, and caddies drive the carts. Golf carts are compulsory during night golf and for six-player day-golf groups. Groups normally contain three to six golfers, and groups of one or two may be joined with other players. Golfers should wear appropriate golf attire and be ready at the staging area at least 20 minutes before the confirmed tee time.

Panya Indra Golf Club has 27 holes divided into three par-36 nine-hole courses: Lagoon, Palm and Garden. An 18-hole round combines two of the three nines and plays to par 72.
The available pairing depends on the club’s operating schedule for the requested date and tee time. Fairways of Eden will confirm the assigned or available combination whenever this information is supplied by the club.
Yes. Panya Indra normally offers night golf from Tuesday to Friday and on Saturday evenings. The exact starting window and availability should be reconfirmed because operating schedules can change for maintenance, tournaments or public holidays.
Panya Indra is a strategic course rather than an extreme distance test from every tee. Water, fairway bunkers, changing wind and tiered greens create the main difficulty, while choosing the correct tee and conservative landing areas makes the course manageable for a wider range of golfers.
Beginners can play Panya Indra from an appropriate forward tee, but the amount of water and the need to control approach distance make it less forgiving than a simple resort layout. Less experienced golfers should favour safe landing areas and follow their caddie’s advice.
One caddie per golfer is included in the Fairways of Eden quotation. The golf-cart arrangement is confirmed before payment. Carts are compulsory for night golf and for six-player groups during day golf, while the caddie normally drives the cart.
The club is normally closed on Mondays, except when a Monday falls on a public holiday or substitute holiday and the club announces special opening arrangements.
