The round moves constantly across changing levels rather than following a flat resort corridor. Elevated tees reveal generous-looking landing areas, but second shots frequently come from sloping lies or towards greens set above or below the player. Mountain and valley views dominate the routing, with selected holes opening towards the Gulf. The course feels spacious from the tee, while elevation and exposed wind keep approach distances varied.
Established on former pineapple fields in 2009, Pineapple Valley retains a direct connection between its name and its landscape. Designer Pirapon Namatra used the existing hill contours to shape fairways that rise, fall and turn through the valley. The routing follows the natural landform, while elevated ground opens views towards the Tanaosri mountains and, from selected points, the Gulf of Thailand.
Pirapon Namatra’s routing uses width to create choices rather than making every tee shot narrow. Several holes ask players to favour one side of the fairway for a clearer approach, while doglegs, water, bunkering and elevation punish poor positioning. Green sizes and levels vary across the round, so approach control matters more than raw distance. The longer tees sharply increase total yardage and carry demands, while the forward tees preserve the strategic shape without requiring the same power.
Choose a tee that matches your carry distance; the longer sets increase both overall length and forced-carry pressure.
Use the available fairway width deliberately, favouring the side that opens the next shot rather than automatically aiming centre.
Recheck effective yardage because uphill approaches, downhill drops and exposed wind can materially change the required club.
Use your caddie to judge pace and break on the Tiff Eagle greens, especially when playing unfamiliar slopes.
Hole 4 – Par 3: Water dominates the tee shot from the longer tees, with a large green waiting beyond the carry. The size of the target offers some margin, but the hazard makes committed club selection essential.
Hole 7 – Par 4: The course architect identifies the seventh as Pineapple Valley’s most difficult hole. The elevated tee makes the target appear closer than it is, while a swale left of the green creates a difficult recovery. Its deceptive perspective makes distance judgement and positioning more important than the absence of a green-side hazard.
Hole 15 – Par 3: The downhill fifteenth is Pineapple Valley’s official signature hole. Elevated tees provide ocean views to the left and mountain and valley views to the right. The hole is not long, but its exposed position allows the wind to change the required club and turn a visually inviting shot into a precise late-round test.
Pineapple Valley has a driving range, two short-game practice greens, changing rooms, a pro shop with rental clubs, The Terrace restaurant, Mulligan’s Pub and refreshment kiosks at holes 5, 10 and 15. One caddie is compulsory for each golfer. Golf carts are optional under club rules, limited to one golfer per cart, and the club recommends that the caddie drives. Groups are limited to four golfers, and players should check in at least 30 minutes before their tee time. Proper golf clothing and suitable golf shoes are required.
The current starting rate is displayed dynamically in the booking card above. It covers the services shown alongside the rate, while final availability and the confirmed playing time remain subject to approval by Pineapple Valley Golf Club.
Pineapple Valley offers a moderate challenge from suitable middle or forward tees but becomes substantially harder from the longer sets. Overall length, elevation changes, sloping lies and selected water carries make accurate distance control important.
Complete beginners may find the elevation, overall length and selected carries demanding. Newer golfers can still enjoy Pineapple Valley by choosing the forward tees, following their caddie’s guidance and prioritising steady progress rather than score.
One caddie is mandatory for every golfer. Golf carts are optional under the club’s rules, although Fairways of Eden includes one cart per golfer in its booking setup. The club recommends that the caddie drives.
