Blue Sapphire provides a visually distinctive round where lakes and former quarry features influence both the scenery and the strategy. Golfers regularly face drives beside water, approaches to raised greens and carries where the safer route may still require a confident strike. The terrain moves between open lakeside areas, tree-lined sections and holes framed by rock faces or jungle-covered hills. Choosing the correct tee is important because several hazards must be carried rather than simply avoided along the ground.
Blue Sapphire was developed across land previously used for sapphire extraction in Bo Phloi. Former mining areas filled with water and became the deep blue-green lakes that now define much of the golf landscape. Quarry walls, exposed rock, undulating ground and distant jungle-covered hills give the property a stronger natural identity than a conventional flat resort course. Accommodation positioned around the lakes extends this mining-and-water character beyond the golf itself.
Steven Youdan and Art-anan Yomchinda used the existing lakes, slopes and quarry landscape to create two courses with different strategic demands. Water frequently reduces the useful landing area, while elevated greens place additional pressure on approach distance and trajectory. The safest route is not always the shortest, particularly where doglegs move around quarry walls or a direct approach requires a complete carry across water. Strong play comes from selecting tees realistically, favouring stable lies and accepting a longer next shot when the aggressive route brings several hazards into play.
Check whether your round is scheduled on Canyon or Ocean because the total length, sequence and principal hazards differ.
Select a tee according to the distance you can carry reliably over water rather than the length of your best drive.
Accept a longer approach when the direct line brings a quarry lake, steep bank or narrow section of fairway into play.
Use your caddie’s advice when elevation, wind and water make the effective approach distance different from the measured yardage.
Canyon Course: Formed by Courses A and B, Canyon plays to par 72 and measures 7,030 yards from the published black tees. It is the longer of the two layouts and uses substantial water carries, changing elevation and lakeside fairways to create its principal challenge. The par-three holes are particularly associated with downhill shots played across water, making accurate carry distance essential.
Ocean Course: Formed by Courses C and D, Ocean plays to par 72 and measures 6,756 yards from the published black tees. Course C is the shortest of the four nines but contains several testing water holes, while Course D brings tighter landing areas, quarry walls, doglegs and raised greens into the round. The lower total yardage therefore does not automatically make Ocean the easier option.

Canyon is the longer layout and is known for lakeside holes, changing elevation and downhill par threes played across water. Ocean is shorter overall but includes tighter landing areas, quarry walls, doglegs, water hazards and elevated greens.
Blue Sapphire is moderately to highly challenging because water, elevation and quarry features influence many tee shots and approaches. Ocean is shorter, but its tighter sections mean it should not automatically be considered the easier course.
Beginners can play from an appropriate forward tee, but repeated water carries can make the course demanding for golfers who are still developing consistent contact. Conservative targets and caddie guidance are recommended.
One caddie per golfer is included in the Fairways of Eden quotation. The club currently applies a golf-cart requirement, and the final cart inclusion and allocation are confirmed for the requested date before payment.
