Greenwood Golf Club rewards controlled driving, careful club selection and an understanding of how the fairway slopes influence the next shot. The terrain moves gently through the Chonburi countryside, creating downhill tee shots, uphill approaches and uneven lies without becoming an extreme mountain course. Deep pot-style and semi-natural bunkers provide much of the visual and strategic pressure, while water becomes more influential on selected holes rather than dominating the entire layout. The experience changes with the assigned combination because each nine follows a different architectural theme.
The course opened in 1993 as Noble Place Golf Course & Country Club before later adopting the Greenwood Golf Club identity. Its rural Ban Bueng location gives the property a quieter inland character than courses closer to central Pattaya or the coast. Rolling ground, mature trees and open countryside views provide the framework for three visually distinct nines. The established landscape now supports a mixture of exposed Links-style holes, enclosed British-style corridors and broader American-style fairways.
Peter Thomson designed Greenwood to reward intelligent positioning rather than a repetitive sequence of maximum-distance drives. Deep bunkers narrow the useful landing areas and can remove a direct route to the green even when the ball remains close to the fairway. Changes in elevation influence both carry distance and rollout, making a balanced lie more valuable than a few additional metres. The stronger strategy is to identify the preferred side of the fairway, avoid the deepest sand and leave an approach that can use the natural contours around the green.
Check the scheduled combination before travelling because maintenance and renovation work can affect which two courses are available.
Choose a club and line that remove the deepest sand from play rather than attacking every hole through its narrowest route.
Allow for downhill rollout and uphill effective yardage, and prioritise a balanced stance when selecting the driving target.
Expect more exposure on Course A, tighter tree-lined positioning on Course B and broader water-led targets when Course C is available.
Course A – Links style: Course A measures 3,499 yards from the blue tees and has a more exposed, links-inspired character with broad views and strategically positioned bunkers. Its standout eighth hole is a 349-yard downhill par four that turns left, with water crossing the route before the green and a genuine choice between laying back and taking a more aggressive line.
Course B – British style: Course B measures 3,470 yards from the blue tees and uses mature tree-lined corridors and semi-natural bunkering to create a more enclosed traditional test. The 525-yard fourth is a downhill par five with a slight left turn and a water channel approximately 130 yards short of the green, making second-shot positioning critical.
Course C – American style: Course C is the longest of the three nines at 3,565 yards from blue. Its wider fairways, strategic water hazards and larger greens provide a different visual and tactical experience. The club currently lists Course C as under renovation, so it must not be promised as part of a booking until its reopening is confirmed.

Greenwood Golf Club is a 27-hole complex divided into three par-36 nine-hole courses named A, B and C. An 18-hole round combines two active nines and normally plays to par 72.
The active combination depends on the club’s operating and maintenance schedule for the requested date. Course C is currently listed as under renovation, so Fairways of Eden will confirm the available nines before payment.
The blue-tee lengths are 3,499 yards for Course A, 3,470 for Course B and 3,565 for Course C. This creates combination lengths of 6,969 yards for A–B, 7,035 for B–C and 7,064 for C–A when all three nines are available.
Greenwood Golf Club was designed by Australian golfer and architect Peter W. Thomson, a five-time winner of The Open Championship. The club opened on 2 April 1993.
Yes. Greenwood Golf Club was previously known as Noble Place Golf Course & Country Club. The current Greenwood name refers to the same 27-hole Peter Thomson-designed property in Ban Bueng, Chonburi.
Greenwood is a strategic rather than excessively penal course. Its deep bunkers, rolling terrain, uneven lies and changing course styles reward accurate positioning, while appropriate forward tees make it manageable for average and higher-handicap golfers.
Beginners can play Greenwood from an appropriate forward tee, but the deep bunkering and uneven ground require more course management than a completely flat resort layout. Less experienced golfers should choose conservative targets and follow their caddie’s advice.
One caddie per golfer is included in the Fairways of Eden quotation. The applicable golf-cart inclusion and allocation are confirmed for the requested date before payment together with the green fee and any optional transfer.
Greenwood Golf Club is in Khlong Kio, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi. It is included within the wider Pattaya golf market but is located inland from central Pattaya, so private transport should be arranged in advance.
Submit your preferred date, tee-time window and number of golfers for Greenwood Golf Club. Fairways of Eden will check availability and provide a confirmed quotation covering the green fee, caddie, golf-cart arrangement, active course combination and any requested private transfer. Rental clubs can also be checked when required. Final inclusions and playing details are confirmed before payment.
