Garden Pool Pavilion
Rosewood Phuket is a five-star hideaway on a secluded 600-metre beach at Emerald Bay, minutes south of Patong and about 45 minutes from the airport. The first Rosewood in Southeast Asia, it spreads 71 pool villas across 43 acres of gardens, with four restaurants, the Asaya spa, and Kathu’s golf courses around 15 minutes away.
The Garden Pool Pavilion is a 130 sqm retreat with king or twin beds, a living area and floor-to-ceiling windows. Its bathroom pairs double vanities and a rain shower with an outdoor soaking tub, and a private terrace adds a daybed, sofa and plunge pool amid foliage. Sleeps three; daily breakfast included.
- Breakfast and Airport transfer to and from the hotel are included
This hotel is perfect for golfers who…
- want to retreat to a secluded, private-pool sanctuary after their round
- are pairing golf with a honeymoon, anniversary or special celebration
- value a world-class spa and fine dining over a lively nightlife base
The setting and design
Rosewood Phuket occupies a 43-acre hillside estate that descends to a private 600-metre stretch of sand on Emerald Bay, beside Tri Trang Beach on the island’s quieter south-west coast. Just 71 pavilions and villas are woven into the landscape, each with its own pool, so the resort feels more like a secluded village than a large hotel. The design — natural stone, timber and soft, light-filled interiors — reflects Rosewood’s “A Sense of Place” philosophy, and the grounds were built around existing trees, including protected 150-year-old banyans, alongside one of the largest solar arrays of any Phuket hotel.
Dining and wellness
Dining spans four venues: Ta Khai for Southern Thai cooking, Red Sauce for Italian, The Shack for relaxed beachfront seafood, and the poolside Mai bar. Wellness centres on Asaya, Rosewood’s holistic spa concept, with private treatment suites, a relaxation garden and a Watsu pool. The beachside infinity pool, fitness centre, watersports and the Rosewood Explorers children’s club round out the days, and cooking classes, snorkelling trips and island excursions can all be arranged — making the resort an easy base whether you travel as a couple, a group of golfers or a family.
Golf access and getting around
For golf, the location is hard to beat: the Kathu-valley courses — Red Mountain, Loch Palm and Phuket Country Club — sit roughly 15 minutes inland, so you can tee off in the morning and be back at your plunge pool by lunch. The championship Blue Canyon courses lie about 40 minutes north toward the airport for a bigger day out. Patong’s restaurants and nightlife are only a few minutes away when you want them, yet the resort itself stays peaceful. Phuket’s golf season runs from November to April, when the weather is driest and the fairways are at their best.
