The setting and design
Paresa — “heaven of all heavens” in Sanskrit — clings to the cliffs of Kamala on Phuket’s west-coast “Millionaires Mile”, hidden among tropical forest above the Andaman Sea. It’s a deliberately small, hideaway-style resort of just 42 suites and villas, every one ocean-facing with its own infinity pool, reached by buggy down through the trees. There’s no private beach, but free transfers run to Kamala Beach, and the clifftop position trades sand for some of the most dramatic sea and sunset views on the island.
Dining and wellness
Dining centres on a spectacular clifftop space shared by Talung Thai, a Michelin Guide-recognised Southern Thai kitchen, and an Italian menu, both with indoor and alfresco sea-view seating. The resort’s signature “Infinity Experience” sets couples on overwater day-beds above the pool for a sunset dinner. The Spa by Paresa offers sea-facing treatment suites with their own baths and steam showers, and there’s a 30-metre salinated infinity pool, a poolside bar, the Andaman Gallery lounge, a gym and a Recipe cooking school.
Golf access and getting around
For golfers, Paresa makes a scenic west-coast base. The Kathu-valley courses — Red Mountain, Loch Palm and Phuket Country Club — are about 20–25 minutes over the hill, while the championship Blue Canyon courses sit roughly 40 minutes north toward the airport. Patong is around 20 minutes away when you want its restaurants and nightlife, and Kamala’s quieter village and beach are a short, complimentary shuttle ride down the hill. Phuket’s golf season runs November to April, the driest months with the best course conditions.
